Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dario Conca!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlinho Pitbull!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitbull lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Conca sprawling to the canvas. Pitbull follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Conca hang on?


Conca is rocked!


It looks like Dario Conca has been cut.

Pitbull seems to be looking for submissions.
Oh Conca is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Conca wants to get back to full guard.
Pitbull is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Conca is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Conca seems to have got his legs back now.
Conca is trying to escape the mount.
Conca bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Pitbull not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Conca is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Conca postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pitbull is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Conca, into his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Conca escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pitbull gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Conca is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Conca looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Conca has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pitbull can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pitbull wants to control from the top but Conca keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Conca working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pitbull has passed into half guard!
Conca works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conca is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Conca is pressing down on Pitbull's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pitbull is holding on for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pitbull fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pitbull misses with a series of wild punches.
Pitbull wants to clinch.
Pitbull swings for the body but Conca moves out of range.
Carlinho Pitbull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conca avoids a punch combination nicely.

Conca darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Conca seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pitbull does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Conca passes to side control.
Conca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pitbull keeps working.

Conca looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Conca is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pitbull knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Conca working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The strikes coming from Conca are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Conca is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pitbull is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Conca goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pitbull rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Conca's guard! Nice work there by Pitbull!

Conca pushes a forearm under Pitbull's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pitbull is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
