Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drako Drakodyak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Hinch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drako Drakodyak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Hinch!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinch is looking to clinch but Drakodyak is avoiding it.

Hinch moves into the clinch.

Drakodyak jumps guard.
Hinch trying to control the position from guard on top but Drakodyak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hinch is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hinch is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Drakodyak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hinch on the ground.
Hinch trying to control the position from guard on top but Drakodyak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hinch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Hinch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hinch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hinch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Drakodyak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Drakodyak keeping moving, preventing Hinch from controlling successfully.
Hinch landing with the ground and pound.
Hinch trying to control the position from guard on top but Drakodyak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hinch won't allow Drakodyak to sweep him here.

Drakodyak on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drakodyak tries to get out of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stevie Hinch.

Hinch drives through and clinches with Drakodyak against the cage.
Drakodyak stops a takedown attempt from Hinch.
Hinch tries to pull guard but Drakodyak won't allow it.
Hinch looking for a takedown.
Drako Drakodyak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Hinch.
Hinch controlling the action here for a moment.

Hinch tightens his grip and picks Drakodyak up, before dumping him to the ground. Drakodyak manages to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hinch is looking to work some ground and pound but Drakodyak has wrist control.

Hinch has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Drakodyak is trying to control the position but Hinch postures up.
Hinch is working Drakodyak over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hinch passes Drakodyak's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hinch not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hinch lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Hinch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hinch is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hinch is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Drakodyak doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevie Hinch dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nice defenses there by Drakodyak.
Drakodyak scores with a head kick.


It looks like Stevie Hinch has been cut.
Drakodyak takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Drakodyak throws a head kick but Hinch moves out of range.
Stevie Hinch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drakodyak ducks under a wild hook from Hinch.
Hinch fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hinch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Drakodyak defends it nicely.
Drakodyak looks for the body kick but Hinch saw that one coming.

Hinch closes the distance and clinches.

Hinch has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Drakodyak is trying to keep an underhook but Hinch manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Hinch keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hinch is looking to take a break and control but Drakodyak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hinch slips a nice elbow through Drakodyak's hands, connecting with Drakodyak's forehead.
Drakodyak looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hinch missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hinch is nestled in close to Drakodyak, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hinch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Drakodyak with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hinch is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hinch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hinch is trying to control. Drakodyak wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hinch slips a nice elbow through Drakodyak's hands, connecting with Drakodyak's forehead.

Hinch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Drakodyak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hinch has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Drakodyak is rocked!
Hinch lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Drakodyak! Hinch sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Drakodyak and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
