PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kick Puncher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Glazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jay Glazer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glazer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Puncher.
Glazer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Puncher sprawls well. Puncher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Glazer gets slowly back to his feet.
A thudding body kick lands there by Puncher!
Puncher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Glazer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Puncher throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Puncher dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Glazer. That did some damage!
Glazer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Glazer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A chopping leg kick lands by Puncher.
Puncher thows a left - swing and a miss!
Puncher thuds his right hand into Glazer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Glazer stuffs the takedown attempt from Puncher. Puncher gets slowly back to his feet.

and Puncher counters with a body kick that stops Glazer in his tracks momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Glazer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Puncher as he jumps to the side.
Kick Puncher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Glazer.
Glazer throws a nice looking combination but Puncher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Puncher throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Puncher cracks Glazer with a good jab.
Puncher defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Glazer.
Glazer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Glazer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Puncher thows a body kick. Glazer tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Glazer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Glazer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Puncher. Glazer shrugs it off though.

Puncher lands a leg kick that knocks Glazer off balance momentarily.
Glazer shoots in and drives through. Puncher sprawls well.
Puncher misses with a wild combination.

A punch combination from Glazer misses.
Puncher fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Glazer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Glazer blocks a head kick by Puncher.
Glazer misses with a double jab.
Glazer dives in and grabs Puncher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Puncher pushes down on Glazer's head and hops out.
Puncher lands a slapping body shot.

Glazer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Puncher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Glazer looks gassed!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Puncher is looking to reverse the position.
Puncher is trying to control Glazer's posture but Glazer avoids it.
Glazer wants to take a breather but Puncher manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Glazer.

Glazer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Puncher has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Glazer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Puncher.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Puncher.
Puncher connects with an inside leg kick.
Puncher throws a sloppy head kick and Glazer moves out of range easily.
Puncher misses with a two punch combination.
Glazer slips a straight right by Puncher.
Glazer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Puncher feints and then cracks Glazer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Glazer down.
Glazer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Puncher misses with a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Puncher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Glazer throws a series of punches but Puncher moves out of range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That kick from Puncher tenderised Glazer's leg. Glazer is trying to keep his angry face on.
Glazer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Glazer duly obliges.
Glazer circles away from the clinch attempt.

Puncher avoids a punch combination nicely.
Glazer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Puncher as he avoids it easily.
Glazer's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Puncher throws a right and a left that Glazer avoids nicely.
Glazer is pawing at Puncher, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Puncher's nose. Puncher is badly hurt! Glazer pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Puncher tries desperately to hold on but Glazer is relentless in his assault! As Puncher receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Glazer away and this one is in the books!
