Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robson Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mendes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mendes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lei is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mendes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mendes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lei is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mendes has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Mendes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mendes is working to tighten is grip on Lei's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lei has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mendes is really squeezing tight and eventually Lei passes out! Mendes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
