The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rutten throws a sloppy head kick and Grappling moves out of range easily.
Grappling with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rutten to score with a decent uppercut.
Rutten plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Rutten lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rutten.
Rutten misses with a few strikes there.
Rutten throws a leg kick but Grappling moved away.
Rutten moves out of range of the body kick.
Grappling tries to clinch up but Rutten circles away and keeps his distance.
Grappling takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Grappling takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Grappling gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rutten tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rutten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rutten avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rutten throws a head kick that misses.
Rutten tries to bum rush Grappling with a series of wild strikes but Grappling uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rutten scores with a jab.

Rutten fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Grappling is out of range.
Rutten throws a nice outside leg kick.
Grappling throws a head kick but Rutten moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rutten.
Rutten is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
No joy there for Grappling, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rutten misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grappling.
Rutten connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A punch lands to the side of Grappling 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rutten throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Rutten works over Grappling's head and body with a nice combination.
Grappling is rocked!
Grappling blocks a head kick by Rutten.

Oh Grappling is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rutten fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Grappling to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Grappling looks to clinch but Rutten throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Grappling taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Boss Rutten made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'you wanted the pain i just gave you what you wanted!!!!'.
