PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Estep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Estep comes to the cage accompanied by Courageous. Logan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Don't Stop Believing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Estep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Logan!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estep looks to land a body kick but Logan moved away.
Estep shoots in for a takedown but Logan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A head kick misses from Logan.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Logan.
Estep lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Logan circles away quickly and effectively.
Estep fails in his attempt to clinch.
Logan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Estep.

Oooooh!!! Logan has knocked Estep down with a huge combo! Logan steps away and waves a wobbly Estep back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Brian Estep has been cut.
Estep is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Estep misses with a takedown attempt - Logan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Estep. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Logan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Estep paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for Logan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Logan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Logan drops Estep with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Estep looks back up at him and smiles so Logan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Estep is rocked!
Logan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Estep is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Logan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Logan doesn't manage to clinch there - Estep circles away.
Logan cracks Estep with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Frankie Logan!
A relieved looking Frankie Logan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
