Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Barreda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barreda has chosen Rockstar as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kendall!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Barreda!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kendall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barreda's sensitive parts.
Kendall stuns Barreda with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Barreda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A jab from Barreda misses.
Kendall throws a body punch but Barreda moves out of range.
Kendall lands with a nice body kick.
Kendall tries to clinch up.
Kendall scores with a hook to the body. Barreda takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kendall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kendall walks into a left hand.
Kendall connects with a body shot that sends Barreda's belly button to the back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters circling - Barreda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kendall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Barreda loads up on a big right hand but Kendall slips the punch.
Kendall misses with a head kick.

Kendall ducks under a wild hook from Barreda.
Barreda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kendall paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Barreda counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barreda takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Barreda misses with a wild combination.
A slow jab from Barreda misses its intended target.
Kendall throws a leg kick which misses Barreda's front leg but catches the back leg as Barreda tries to avoid it.
Kendall throws a body punch but Barreda moves out of range.
Barreda takes one to the chin there.
Barreda gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kendall.

Kendall slips a jab from Barreda.
Barreda wants to clinch up but Kendall keeps it at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kendall lands a really nice looking cross but Barreda seems unphased.
Barreda takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Chris Kendall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kendall counters with a nice kick to the body.
Kendall feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barredas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Kendall lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That kick from Kendall tenderised Barreda's leg. Barreda is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kendall throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kendall connects with a solid leg kick.

Barreda throws a big shot that misses.
Kendall moves away from the strike by Barreda.
Kendall looks to score with a jab to the body but Barreda is just out of range.
Barreda looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Barreda moves into the clinch.
Kendall lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Barreda or not.
Kendall has Barreda pressed against the cage, preventing Barreda from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kendall misses with a punch to the body.
Kendall lands a hook that snaps the head of Barreda backwards.
Kendall's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Kendall gets through Barreda's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Barreda takes a shot to the head.
Kendall can't find room to land a body shot as Barreda controls the action.

Kendall tries a body shot but Barreda blocks it.
Kendall goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kendall effectively controlling the action here.
Barreda jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kendall walks away with a smile on his face. Barreda gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kendall throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kendall fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kendall connects with a body shot that sends Barreda's belly button to the back.
Barreda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kendall manages to avoid it.
Kendall throws a body punch but Barreda moves out of range.
Kendall throws a leg kick but Barreda moved away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barreda tries to move into range but Kendall moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Barreda moves out of range as Kendall strikes.
Kendall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kendall delivers a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Kendall dominated that round.

Kendall connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Barreda just misses with a punch to the body.
Kendall feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barreda's calf.
Barreda ducks right into an uppercut from Kendall.
Kendall pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kendall scores with a one two! Barreda had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kendall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barreda takes a head kick and keeps coming.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barreda ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Kendall avoids a punch combination nicely.

Barreda gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Barreda closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kendall. That's going to slow Barreda down.
Kendall throws a body punch but Barreda moves out of range.
Barreda misses with a body shot.
Kendall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barreda.

and Kendall counters with a nice leg kick.
Kendall is looking to wear down Barreda with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kendall swings for the body but Barreda moves out of range.
Barreda loads up on a big right hand but Kendall slips the punch.

Barreda scores with a decent looking hook.
Kendall scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Barreda doesn't seem bothered though.

Barreda pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Barreda looks to land a left hand but Kendall moved out of range nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kendall keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kendall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Barreda looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Barreda on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barreda is breathing heavily.
Kendall lands with a straight right. Barreda didn't see that one coming.
Kendall throws a body kick that misses.
Kendall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Barreda gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kendall.
Kendall throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Barreda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kendall moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Barreda's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Barreda fails to land with a series of punches.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kendall.

and Kendall counters with a body kick that stops Barreda in his tracks momentarily.
Kendall lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barreda with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kendall to score with a decent uppercut.
Kendall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Barreda throws a poor cross that misses
and Kendall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kendall lands a nice shot to the body.

Kendall drops Barreda with a beautiful combination! Barreda stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kendall is looking for the KO!
Barreda is still on wobbly legs! Can Kendall finish him?

Kendall cracks Barreda with a left hook right on the temple and Barreda goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Kendall lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Barreda is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Kendall!
