Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Decklan Stroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroy comes to the cage accompanied by What's Up, People ?!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Decklan Stroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Decklan Stroy has been cut.
Stroy tries for a takedown but Daniels sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stroy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daniels sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stroy looks to clinch
and Daniels counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Daniels has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stroy after a bit of a struggle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stroy wants to stand and escape but instead Daniels has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Daniels is looking to work some ground and pound but Stroy has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniels cracks Stroy with a solid left hand.
Stroy is trying to control the position but Daniels postures up.
Daniels throws a strike but Stroy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Stroy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Daniels is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Daniels has escaped and now he's on top!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stroy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Daniels cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Daniels has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Stroy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daniels swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stroy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniels pinned against the cage. Daniels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Daniels in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daniels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Daniels throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Stroy escapes and throws Daniels's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Stroy swings around for an armbar but Daniels sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stroy's guard.
