Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ippo Makounchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takuma Uchida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makounchi's entrance music is rolling go. A fine choice. Uchida has chosen Pride as his entrance music. Takuma Uchida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takuma Uchida!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uchida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Makounchi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Uchida shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Makounchi pinned against the ropes. Makounchi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A jab from Uchida misses.
Makounchi slips a jab from Uchida.
Makounchi throws a nice looking combination but Uchida bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Makounchi throws a low kick but Uchida avoids it.
Uchida throws the left hand but Makounchi avoids the punch easily.
Makounchi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Makounchi lands a right hook to the body.
Uchida wants to land a leg kick but Makounchi is out of range.
Makounchi scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The fight stays on the outside here - Uchida looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Some bone on bone action there as Uchida checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Uchida takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Makounchi throws a right hand that Uchida ducks under and follows up with a left that Uchida also avoids with ease.
Makounchi tries a head kick but it misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Uchida.
Uchida misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ippo Makounchi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takuma Uchida.

Makounchi scores with the left hand. Uchida knows he should have avoided that one.

Makounchi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Uchida eats them both and turns towards Makounchi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Makounchi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Uchida fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Makounchi avoids it really well and circles away.
Makounchi lunges at Uchida with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Uchida's hand.
Uchida takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Makounchi throws a nice looking combination but Uchida bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Uchida fails to land the takedown.
Uchida shoots in but Makounchi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Makounchi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Uchida eats them both and turns towards Makounchi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Makounchi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Uchida backs up against the ropes.
Makounchi is breathing heavily.
Makounchi misses with a series of wild punches.
Uchida throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Uchida throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Makounchi throws a head kick that misses.
Uchida misses with a double jab.

Uchida closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Makounchi did well to prevent Uchida getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Uchida thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Makounchi's head.
Uchida is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Makounchi!
Uchida has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Uchida unloads with some shots from mount but Makounchi bucks and avoids them well.
Uchida throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Uchida is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Makounchi is forced to tap! Great finish!
