Esposito comes into the arena with Sukh Knight blaring out of the sound system. John Esposito has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Esposito!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wade Stoker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoker fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Stoker lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like John Esposito has been cut.
Stoker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Esposito.
Stoker blocks a jab.
A slow jab from Stoker misses its intended target.
Esposito throws a leg kick but Stoker moved away.
Esposito lunges at Stoker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stoker's hand.
Stoker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Esposito checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stoker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Esposito.
Esposito ducks right into an uppercut from Stoker.

Stoker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Esposito.

Stoker throws a good cross that connects.
Stoker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Esposito looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Esposito lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stoker at a distance.
Esposito throws a leg kick that is checked
and Stoker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stoker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Stoker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Stoker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Esposito manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Esposito. Stoker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice defenses there by Stoker.

and Esposito counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stoker scores with a punch to the head.
Stoker is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Esposito smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Stoker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Esposito.
Esposito lands with a kick to the ribs.
Stoker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Esposito.
Esposito shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Stoker throws out a leg kick but Esposito moves out of range and Stoker only half commits.

Stoker moves out of range as Esposito throws a body kick.

Oooooh!!! Esposito has knocked Stoker down with a huge combo! Esposito steps away and waves a wobbly Stoker back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Esposito throws a looping overhand right but Stoker ducks down to avoid it.

Esposito lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Stoker is looking to close the distance but Esposito sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Stoker crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Stoker is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
