Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armando Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks to land a combination but Vega avoids it well.

Johnson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Vega sprawling to the canvas. Johnson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Vega hang on?

It looks like Armando Vega has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vega is controlling Johnson's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Vega on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vega tries to get out of the position.

Vega throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Vega is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vega manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Vega 's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Vega has wrist control.
Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Johnson stays in close to Vega 's body and controls the position.
Vega is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Vega uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Vega !

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Johnson holds on and takes a little breather.

Vega is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Johnson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vega is looking to defend but Johnson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vega ! Johnson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vega taps out and this one is all over!
