The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campana blocks the body kick.
Boran throws a right hand that Campana ducks under and follows up with a left that Campana also avoids with ease.
Campana fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Boran fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Campana avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cassius Boran. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boran moves out of range of the body kick from Campana.
Boran lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boran.

Campana feints and then cracks Boran's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boran down.
Campana attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Campana avoids a kick to the body.
Boran drops his hands momentarily and Campana takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Campana bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boran avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Campana.
Campana content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Campana wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boran keeps working.

Campana is looking to take a break and control but Boran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Campana thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boran looking for submissions off his back.

Campana looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Campana lands a nice short elbow.

Campana looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Boran is looking for a sweep. Campana is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Campana wants to control from the top but Boran keeps moving.
Boran is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Campana is posturing up here but Boran has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Campana tries to roll out but it's too tight and Campana has to tap! Slick submission there by Boran!
