Takada comes to the cage accompanied by Super Mario Bros Theme Soundtrack . Nintendo Takada had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Taylor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takada tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Takada.

Takada connects with a body shot that sends Taylor's belly button to the back.
Takada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taylor defends it nicely.

Takada is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taylor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takada.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takada is looking to take a break and control but Taylor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Takada goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Taylor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Takada but great work by Taylor.

After the fight, Shane Taylor was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
