The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Become stuffs the takedown attempt from Gomez. Gomez gets slowly back to his feet.
Gomez looks for a takedown but Become sprawls well.

Become pushes Gomez up against the cage in a clinch.
Gomez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Become pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alert Become has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Gomez.
Become tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gomez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gomez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Become sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gomez somewhat.
Become wants to clinch up but Gomez keeps it at a distance.
Gomez swats away the attempt to clinch by Become.
Gomez walks into a straight right hand from Become.
Become throws a right and a left that Gomez avoids nicely.

Become lands with a left to the head.
Become wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gomez is trying to drag Become to the mat but Become just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gomez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Become fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Become looks to land a combination but Gomez avoids it well.

Nice takedown defense from Become. No joy for Gomez on that attempt.
Gomez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Become.

Become gets a clinch.
Become really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gomez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Become is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gomez blocks the elbow strike.

Become throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gomez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Oh but Gomez is tightening it up a little... Become has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Become reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Become taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gomez!
