Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borat Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagdiyev has chosen The Prodigy - Firestarter as his entrance music. Borat Sagdiyev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borat Sagdiyev!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Norris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Sagdiyev looking for submissions off his back.

Norris is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sagdiyev wants to control but Norris is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Norris drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sagdiyev manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Norris has Sagdiyev in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sagdiyev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Let's hope that Sagdiyev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sagdiyev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Norris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sagdiyev defends well.

Norris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sagdiyev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sagdiyev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Norris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sagdiyev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sagdiyev's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Chuck Norris will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Norris postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sagdiyev is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Norris, into his guard.

Norris is looking for a triangle but Sagdiyev pushes his legs off easily.
Sagdiyev controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sagdiyev wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving.
Sagdiyev controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sagdiyev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Norris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sagdiyev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
