Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilkka Kanerva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nickolai Zhukov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kanerva's entrance music is Sultans of Swing. A fine choice. Zhukov has chosen Hands of a Killer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Zhukov coming out on top.
Kanerva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zhukov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Kanerva connects with a right hand. Zhukov shakes it off.
Zhukov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kanerva throws out the jab.
Kanerva throws a head kick that misses.
Zhukov misses with a body kick.
Kanerva scores with a hook.
Zhukov misses with an uppercut. Kanerva saw that one coming.
Zhukov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zhukov misses with an uppercut.
Zhukov keeps Kanerva at a distance using the push kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kanerva swings widly with a right hand
and Zhukov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Zhukov digs a good body shot into Kanerva's ribs.
Kanerva is breathing heavily.
Kanerva tries a head kick but it misses.
Zhukov misses with a body shot.
Kanerva takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kanerva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zhukov to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Ilkka Kanerva has been cut.
Zhukov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zhukov digs a good body shot into Kanerva's ribs.
Zhukov motions for Kanerva to come forward. Zhukov throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kanerva takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Zhukov lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kanerva throws a sloppy head kick and Zhukov moves out of range easily.
Zhukov misses with a straight left.
Zhukov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zhukov connects with a body shot that sends Kanerva's belly button to the back.
Kanerva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Zhukov throws a good cross that connects.
Kanerva has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zhukov finds it's way round the side to connect with Kanerva's head.
Kanerva takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Zhukov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kanerva.
Zhukov has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kanerva checks a low kick from Zhukov.
Zhukov slips a straight right by Kanerva.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zhukov.
Kanerva is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kanerva backs away from a small jab... but Zhukov lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Kanerva crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Zhukov with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Nickolai Zhukov!
Nickolai Zhukov very nearly forgot to thank D.O.A. PRESENTS: PRIME DESIGNS amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
