Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Russell Biggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Tall Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Russell Biggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, New Tall Guy!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guy is defended easily by Biggins.
Guy wants to clinch.
Guy throws a head kick that misses.

and Biggins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Guy!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Guy in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Guy can't escape the position.
Biggins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

What can Guy do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Biggins looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Guy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Biggins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Biggins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Russell Biggins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Guy striking off his back but it's not causing Biggins any problems.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Biggins working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Biggins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Guy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Biggins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russell Biggins will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

New Tall Guy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

New Tall Guy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
