Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Beavis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Beavis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Tanner!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Tanner as Beavis shoots in.

Tanner rushes Beavis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tanner misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Beavis.
Beavis tries to score a body lock takedown but Tanner shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tanner is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Beavis to keep the fight standing.
Tanner has had enough of the clinch but Beavis keeps him there for the moment.

Beavis breaks from the clinch.

and Tanner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Beavis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tanner!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beavis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tanner is looking to escape.

Beavis tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Tanner counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Beavis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beavis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Tanner escapes and throws Beavis's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Beavis is looking to control Tanner but Tanner is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Tanner manages to reverse the position and now he's in Beavis's guard. Nice work there by Tanner.
Beavis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tanner controls the pace.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by George Tanner.
Beavis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tanner as he avoids it easily.

Tanner tries for a takedown but Beavis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Beavis lands with a straight right. Tanner didn't see that one coming.
Beavis throws a sloppy head kick and Tanner moves out of range easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Tanner counters by moving into the clinch.
Beavis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Beavis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Tanner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tanner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beavis was well out of range. Poor timing from Tanner.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Beavis enables Tanner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Beavis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Beavis controls Tanner momentarily but Tanner frees himself.

Beavis wants to control but Tanner is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tanner moves into full mount! Beavis won't be happy about that!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Tanner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Tanner tries to land a front kick but Beavis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
