PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hervoton Kyrpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gruberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gruberman is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kyrpa is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gruberman to the mat. Gruberman regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kyrpa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kyrpa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gruberman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Gruberman shoots for a double leg takedown but Kyrpa sprawls well. He's pushed Gruberman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kyrpa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gruberman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kyrpa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gruberman's back instead.
