Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Karhu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randy Swick!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swick instigates a clinch.
Swick is trying to break the clinch but Karhu has him pressed against the cage.
Swick tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Karhu's elbow.

Karhu pulls guard.
Swick trying to control the position from guard on top but Karhu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Swick with a nice head shot there.

Karhu working for a triangle but Swick defends it easily.
Swick trying to control but Karhu is working from the bottom.
Karhu controls Swick momentarily but Swick frees himself.
Swick trying to control the position from guard on top but Karhu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Swick postures up in Karhu's guard and throws a big left but Karhu blocks it.

Karhu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swick gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Karhu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Swick is one step ahead there.
Karhu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swick.
Swick makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Karhu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Swick is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Karhu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Swick's back instead.
Karhu is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karhu is hanging on to Swick's back as he tries to escape.

Swick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karhu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Swick is in bad spot here.

Karhu is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Swick with him. Swick is trying to defend but Karhu has an arm under the chin now! Swick grimaces and is forced to tap out!
