The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Umass.
Umass shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tau manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Umass wants to control from the top but Tau keeps moving.
Umass pushing down on Tau's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Umass is looking to take a break and control but Tau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Umass has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tau defend it? Umass steps over the head and cranks it - Tau is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Umass!
