The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds digs a good body shot into Ctvrtlik's ribs.
Ctvrtlik fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Reynolds to the ground. Ctvrtlik is now in Reynolds's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ctvrtlik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Reynolds is trying to keep Ctvrtlik in close.
Ctvrtlik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reynolds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reynolds wants to sweep but no luck.
Reynolds is trying to control the position but Ctvrtlik postures up.
Reynolds is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ctvrtlik would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Reynolds isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ctvrtlik stacks Reynolds on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ctvrtlik!
Ctvrtlik tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Reynolds manages to get back to half guard.
Ctvrtlik stands up and beckons Reynolds to join him on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Reynolds enables Ctvrtlik to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Reynolds manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ctvrtlik is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Reynolds has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ctvrtlik is looking to defend but Reynolds has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ctvrtlik! Reynolds pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ctvrtlik taps out and this one is all over!

A less than humble Geoffery Reynolds misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
