Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ban Dit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demian Maia!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dit throws a lazy right hand but Maia sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Maia feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dit's calf.
Dit swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Maia. Dit shrugs it off though.
Dit looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Maia avoids the body shot from Dit.
Maia looks to score with a jab to the body but Dit is just out of range.
Maia smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Ban Dit has been cut.
Maia slips under a jab from Dit.
Maia connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dit's hands.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Maia connects with a solid leg kick.
Maia moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Maia chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dit is breathing heavily.
Dit throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maia scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Maia showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dit.
Maia dodges the punch combination from Dit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maia throws a leg kick which misses Dit's front leg but catches the back leg as Dit tries to avoid it.
Maia throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Dit tumbling to the canvas!
Dit is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Maia lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Oh Dit is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Maia's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Maia loads up on a big left hand. Dit felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Maia looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dit can't hide his disappointment, as Maia celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Demian Maia!
