Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Mortensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Drtikost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drtikost throws a jab when Mortensson was well out of range.

It looks like Jesse Mortensson has been cut.
Drtikost fails to land with a series of punches.

Mortensson clinches up against the cage.

Mortensson has picked Drtikost up - he's going for a ride! Mortensson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Drtikost is trying to maintain the position but Mortensson is very close to passing his half guard.

Still in half guard, Mortensson seems content to control.
Drtikost has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mortensson is working away from the top position though.
Drtikost wants to improve his position but Mortensson is controlling well.

Mortensson lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

You can see the frustration on Drtikost's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Mortensson seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Drtikost's chin but Drtikost turns very nicely into Mortensson's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Drtikost.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mortensson controls Drtikost momentarily but Drtikost frees himself.

Mortensson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mortensson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mortensson seems to be working for a kimura but Drtikost defends the submission attempt.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Drtikost looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Mortensson! Submission of the night perhaps?
