The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Fraracci. No joy for Brandao on that attempt.

Fraracci tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Fraracci shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brandao but Brandao pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fraracci does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Brandao is working an open guard so Fraracci takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fraracci shoots for a takedown but Brandao saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Brandao can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fraracci controls the pace.

Fraracci shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brandao is trying to defend but Fraracci finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fraracci closes the distance and clinches up with Brandao, looking for a takedown. Fraracci pushes Brandao against the cage but Brandao circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fraracci moves into range and clinches up with Brandao.
Fraracci is looking to take this one to the mat.
