The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gomez but Gomez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Teixeira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gomez on his heels. He'll look to pass Gomez's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Gomez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Teixeira doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gomez is tightening it up a little... Teixeira has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Teixeira reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Teixeira taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gomez!
