The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Normayen keeps the fight on the outside.
Van Normayen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Van Normayen connects with a solid leg kick.
Bateman wants to clinch up but Van Normayen keeps it at a distance.
Bateman lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Van Normayen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Bateman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A combination from Bateman does no damage.
Bateman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Van Normayen was well out of range. Poor timing from Bateman.
Bateman takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Van Normayen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Van Normayen wants it to stay on the feet.
A head kick from Van Normayen lands but Bateman takes it in his stride.

It looks like Patrick Bateman has been cut.
Van Normayen stuffs the takedown attempt from Bateman. Bateman gets slowly back to his feet.
Van Normayen lands a brutal head kick. Bateman looks out on his feet and Van Normayen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
