Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bayley James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephan Anton!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James wants to clinch up but Anton keeps it at a distance.
A swing and a miss from James.
James stuffs the takedown attempt from Anton. Anton gets slowly back to his feet.
Anton shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well.
James missing with a left hand there. Anton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Anton closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away.
Bayley James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephan Anton.

Anton gets a double leg takedown into James's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
James has Anton pulled in close to control his posture.
James is looking to stand up but Anton isn't so interested in that idea.

Anton drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Anton off! Anton jumps back into James's guard.

Anton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anton on the ground.

Anton lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Anton chips away with some ground and pound.
Anton is fighting to break James's control of his arms but James is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

James will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James wants to stand but Anton is controlling the position.
Anton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

James avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Anton.
James is trying to stand up here but Anton is controlling him well.

Anton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Anton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and James defends it well.

James moves into full guard.
Anton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Anton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

James controls Anton momentarily but Anton frees himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Bayley James wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Anton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anton shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephan Anton dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Anton moves out of range of the strikes.

Anton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Anton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
James on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if James tries to get out of the position.
James regains half guard.
James is trying to maintain the position but Anton is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed James's head.

James is looking to control Anton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can James avoid being mounted?
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

James is defending against the submission attempts here by Anton.
James on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Anton throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
James is looking for a sweep. Anton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

James manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Anton shoots in looking for a takedown but James manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

James moves in looking to clinch but Anton pushes him off.
James feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Antons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Anton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anton off to one side.

James misses with a wild combination.
Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Anton on that attempt.

A jab lands there for James.
Anton misses with a takedown attempt - James sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bayley James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anton is breathing heavily.
Anton drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
James misses with a hook. Anton ducked under it nicely.
Anton shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well.

It looks like Stephan Anton has been cut.
James fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Anton on the side of the head.
James scores with a jab. Anton acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
James is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Anton is rocked!
James doesn't manage to clinch there - Anton circles away.

James drops Anton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Anton looks back up at him and smiles so James waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

James is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
James lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Anton - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for James!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bayley James!
Bayley James decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
