The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shepard scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Shepard not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Shepard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rose's head.
Rose trying to hold on to Shepard's head to control him but Shepard postures up.
Shepard sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rose defending well though.
Shepard wants to take a breather but Rose is having none of it.
Shepard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shepard stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Rose has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Shepard manages to get his head free but now Rose has transitioned to an armbar! Shepard grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rose! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
