Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Smitty Smithers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Deleyel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smithers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ironman - Black Sabbath. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Samson Deleyel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Smithers. Beautiful body shot.
Deleyel scores with a sloppy right hand. Smithers should have avoided that one.
Deleyel swings for the body but Smithers moves out of range.
A jab from Smithers does it's job there.
Smithers cracks Deleyel with a good jab.
Smithers throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Deleyel counters with a series of strikes. Smithers will be more careful next time no doubt.

Smithers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deleyel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smithers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Deleyel counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Smithers moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Deleyel throws a front kick aimed at Smithers's knee but Smithers avoids it well.
Smithers closes the distance but Deleyel moves to the side
and Deleyel counters with a lovely shot to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smithers does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Smithers works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Smithers is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Deleyel is in big trouble! Smithers is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Deleyel. Poor guy.
