The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Drago changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wright tries to avoid it but Drago manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wright to the ground. Wright escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wright drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wright passes Drago's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wright is pressing down on Drago's thigh, looking to free his foot. Drago is holding on for now.
Wright looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wright is looking to advance position but Drago won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
