Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naksuttava Puimakone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puimakone throws a right and a left that Velasquez avoids nicely.
Puimakone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Velasquez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Velasquez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Velasquez shoots in looking for a takedown. Puimakone tries to sprawl out of it but Velasquez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Puimakone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Velasquez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Puimakone scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Puimakone's jab looks to have found its range, popping Velasquez under the eye.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Velasquez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Puimakone.

Puimakone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Velasquez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Puimakone.
Velasquez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Velasquez seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Puimakone shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Velasquez is backing up but Puimakone catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Velasquez covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Puimakone Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Naksuttava Puimakone!
A determined Naksuttava Puimakone didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
