Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karol Barorf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Nykanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barorf comes to the cage accompanied by Wena - Salutuj. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nykanen misses with a few strikes there.
Barorf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Nykanen misses the target.
Barorf swings away with a body shot that misses
and Nykanen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Barorf scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Nykanen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nykanen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barorf manages to avoid it.
Barorf throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nykanen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Barorf is in Nykanen's guard.
Nykanen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barorf accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nykanen is trying to keep Barorf in close.
Barorf will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Barorf is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sloppy strikes from Nykanen. Those never looked like landing.
Nykanen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Barorf takes a jab right on the kisser.
Barorf tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nykanen swivels and escapes.
Barorf shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Barorf is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nykanen is refusing to be controlled, as Barorf sits in half guard.

Barorf is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nykanen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Still in half guard, Barorf seems content to control.

The fighters are battling for position here. Nykanen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Barorf throws a strike but Nykanen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Nykanen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Nykanen is looking to work some ground and pound but Barorf has wrist control.
Nykanen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nykanen wants to control from the top but Barorf keeps moving.
Nykanen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Barorf to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nykanen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Barorf pulls down on the head and he's put Nykanen to sleep! This one is all over!
