Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Get out of my way. Wolfe has chosen The Ramones - Blitzkreig Bop! as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Patrick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Junior Wolfe!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolfe lands a nice looking kick to the body. Diaz takes a step back to recover.
Wolfe scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wolfe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz did well to prevent Wolfe getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz is looking to escape.
Nice strikes from Wolfe there.
Wolfe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Diaz defending well though.
Wolfe stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Diaz has closed the distance and engaged Wolfe in a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wolfe pushes Diaz back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Wolfe prevents a body shot from Diaz.
Diaz can't find room to land a body shot as Wolfe controls the action.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Diaz creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Diaz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wolfe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolfe trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Junior Wolfe has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Wolfe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wolfe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wolfe connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Wolfe lands with a kick to the temple. Diaz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Diaz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wolfe stuns Diaz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lazy left from Diaz finds it's target.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Wolfe.
Wolfe tries for a kimura but Diaz is defending well.
Wolfe wants to control but Diaz is keeping him busy.
Wolfe controls the position.
Diaz is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wolfe grinds an elbow into Diaz's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Diaz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wolfe has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Diaz takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Wolfe advances nicely into full mount.
Diaz in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Diaz is rocked!
Diaz takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Wolfe's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Wolfe!
A relieved looking Junior Wolfe thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
