Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aron Petursson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petursson misses with a head kick.
Warrior shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Petursson but Petursson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Warrior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Petursson's waist but Petursson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Warrior off to one side.
Petursson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Warrior shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Warrior looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Warrior tries to clinch up but Petursson circles away and keeps his distance.

Petursson closes the distance and clinches up with Warrior, looking for a takedown. Petursson pushes Warrior against the cage but Warrior circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Warrior tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Warrior jumps guard but Petursson stands there with Warrior around his waist. Warrior gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Petursson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Warrior could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Petursson works over Warrior with some ground and pound from guard.
Warrior tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Petursson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Petursson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Petursson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Petursson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Warrior does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Petursson connects with a nice short shot to Warrior's temple.

Petursson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Warrior tries to avoid it but Petursson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Warrior to the ground. Warrior escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Petursson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Horrible takedown by Petursson or perhaps it was just good defense by Warrior which made him look bad.

Well Petursson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
