Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thom Ruff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton comes to the cage accompanied by BOOM by P.O.D.. Ruff has chosen Tougher than Leather as his entrance music. Thom Ruff has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Randy Orton's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruff tries to clinch but Orton is having none of it.
Orton pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ruff has Orton up against the cage in a clinch.
Ruff tries to stall but Orton uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Orton manages to break the clinch.
Ruff fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ruff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ruff wants it to stay on the feet.
Ruff looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Orton is fending him off so far but Ruff persists. Nope, Orton circles away and we're back to standing.

Ruff uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Orton.

Ruff is looking to clinch but Orton is avoiding it.
Orton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Orton scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Orton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Orton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Orton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ruff.
Orton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ruff stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ruff tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Orton paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Orton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Orton forces his way into half guard.
Orton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Orton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Ruff is looking to improve his position.

Orton thows a huge punch but Ruff dodges it nicely.
Orton passes to side control.
Ruff prevents Orton from moving into mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ruff can do anything to dispel that myth.

Orton is working to tighten is grip on Ruff's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ruff has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Orton is really squeezing tight and eventually Ruff passes out! Orton breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Randy Orton decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
