Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanton Friedmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruoska's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sympathy for the Devil. Friedmon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Come Get on the Ho Train. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friedmon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown by Friedmon or perhaps it was just good defense by Ruoska which made him look bad.
Ruoska misses with a straight right.
Friedmon looks for a takedown but Ruoska sprawls well.
Mauri Ruoska has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanton Friedmon.
Friedmon leaves Ruoska with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Friedmon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ruoska throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ruoska misses with a looping right.
Friedmon is looking to clinch but Ruoska is avoiding it.
Friedmon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A telegraphed right hand from Friedmon misses the target.
Friedmon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Friedmon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Friedmon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ruoska manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ruoska keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Friedmon doesn't manage to clinch there - Ruoska circles away.
Friedmon tries to clinch but Ruoska is having none of it.
Friedmon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ruoska sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Friedmon somewhat.

Friedmon drives through and clinches with Ruoska against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight stays on the outside here - Friedmon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ruoska is trying hard to land a takedown here. Friedmon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Friedmon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ruoska swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ruoska shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Friedmon takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Ruoska sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Friedmon bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
