Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: St. Elmo's Fire. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Reese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reese shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Reese will probably get the nod.

Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Reese escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reese does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Johnson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Corey Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Reese walks into a left hand.

Reese fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Johnson checks it well.
Johnson swings for the body but Reese moves out of range.
Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reese has time to react.

and Reese makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Reese drives through with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Reese has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I would just about give that final round to Corey Johnson.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
