The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cudi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khasm.
Khasm gets a takedown into half guard.
Khasm is nestled in close to Cudi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Khasm looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cudi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Khasm connects with a nice short shot to Cudi's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khasm decides to return to a standing position.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Khasm looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cudi is fending him off so far but Khasm persists. Nope, Cudi circles away and we're back to standing.
Cudi seems to have got his legs back now.
Cudi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Khasm's guard.
Cudi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Cudi wants to control from the top but Khasm keeps moving.
Cudi wants to stand but Khasm is controlling his posture from full guard.

Khasm escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cudi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Khasm has a closed guard, preventing Cudi from standing up.
Khasm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cudi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Khasm is tightening it up a little... Cudi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cudi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cudi taps out! Nice BJJ there by Khasm!
