The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dillard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Khan stuffs the takedown.
Khan closes the distance and clinches up with Dillard, looking for a takedown. Khan pushes Dillard against the cage but Dillard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Marko Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khan leaves Dillard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Dillard. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Khan moves into range and clinches up with Dillard.

Khan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dillard looks for a takedown but Khan sprawls well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Khan.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
