The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vasara takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Sanders escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vasara doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanders circles away.
Vasara tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sanders manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sanders stalks Vasara and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vasara's face. Vasara staggers backwards, shaken.

and Sanders counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vasara's knee momentarily.

Sanders throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vasara throws a solid leg kick but Sanders takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Vasara.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sanders.

and Sanders counters with a left and a right that stings Vasara.
Vasara on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Sanders throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sanders lands with a nice combination. Vasara backs away looking to recover.
Sanders throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vasara.
Sanders pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Vasara back to the cage. Sanders follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Vasara misses with an uppercut.
Sanders throws a leg kick which misses Vasara's front leg but catches the back leg as Vasara tries to avoid it.
Vasara throws a low kick but Sanders avoids it.
Sanders takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sanders with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sanders shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Vasara eats them both and turns towards Sanders to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Sloppy strikes from Sanders. Those never looked like landing.
Vasara misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sanders is working the combinations to good effect here.
Sanders bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Sanders lands with an uppercut that bounces Vasara off the cage and back into range.
Sanders feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vasara's calf.

Vasara drops his shoulder and cracks Sanders with a huge uppercut! Sanders goes down! Can Vasara finish him?

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sanders is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Sanders is still on wobbly legs! Can Vasara finish him?
Vasara is looking to break free of the clinch but Sanders has double underhooks.
Sanders seems to have recovered his senses.
Vasara lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sanders backwards.

Vasara will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vasara postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Vasara forces his way into half guard.

Vasara lands a big elbow - Sanders is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Vasara!
