Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Watanabe Iori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kopite!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopite misses with a hook.
Nice jab there from Kopite.
Iori keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kopite.

Iori scores with a takedown into Kopite's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Iori drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Iori jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kopite has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Iori is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kopite.
Kopite regains half guard.

Kopite looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kopite won't allow Iori to pass to mount.
Iori is stalling here. Kopite is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Iori seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kopite has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Iori can't do much from the bottom here.
Iori is looking for a sweep.
Kopite with the ground and pound but Iori regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Kopite is pressing down on Iori's thigh, looking to free his foot. Iori is holding on for now.
Kopite sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Iori defending well though.
Iori is not content to let Kopite control the position.

Iori makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Iori.
Iori trying to keep a closed guard but Kopite is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kopite accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Iori wants to sweep here but Kopite controlling him for the moment.
Kopite postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Iori is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Iori is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kopite rolls with it to try and escape but Iori cranks on the arm and Kopite is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
