Ross comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Let The Bodies Hit The Floor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky Ross!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ross walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ross displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doe throws out the jab.
Ross lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Mr John Doe has been cut.
Ross pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ross misses with a straight right.
Ross misses with a hook
enabling Doe to counter with a crisp jab.
Ross takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ross misses with a looping left.
Ross misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Doe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Doe tests Ross's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ross tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Doe was well out of range. Poor timing from Ross.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ross is defended easily by Doe.
Doe scores with a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross misses with a combination
and Doe counters with a head kick.
Mr John Doe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Doe is looking to clinch.
Doe staying out of range there.
Doe wants to clinch.
Ross swings widly with a right hand
and Doe counters with a low kick, right behind Ross 's knee.
Sloppy strikes from Ross. Those never looked like landing.
Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ross throws out a loose jab but Doe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Doe slips a straight right by Ross.
Doe moves out of range as Ross strikes.
Doe tries to clinch up but Ross circles away and keeps his distance.
Ross tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doe swivels and escapes.

Doe has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ross misses with the head strike.
Ross is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Doe landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ross misses with some punches.

Ross breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Doe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Doe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Doe throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Doe closes the distance and clinches.
Doe blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Ross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ross throws a looping overhand right but Doe ducks down to avoid it.
Doe lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Ross throws an off balance right hand
and Doe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ricky Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Doe takes the fight into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Doe - that landed with a thud.
Ross swings wildly with an uppercut but Doe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ross misses with a punch on the inside.
Ross misses with the head strike.
Doe crunches a lovely knee into Ross's ribcage.
Ross misses with some punches.
Ross throws a punch but it's blocked by Doe.
Doe lands with a left to the head.
Doe lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


Ross is rocked!


It looks like Ricky Ross has been cut.
Ross is trying to push Doe away but Doe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Doe putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ross in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Ross looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doe lands a knee to the head.
Ross is still on wobbly legs! Can Doe finish him?
Doe lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Doe lands a big knee! That's hurt Ross! Oh, he's all over the place! Doe lands another knee that sends Ross to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr John Doe!
