Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Villia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Stevens!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Villia with that takedown attempt.

Villia darts in and clinches Stevens up against the ropes.
Stevens tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Villia avoids it.

Villia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Villia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stevens, pushing him back against the ropes.

Villia works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Stevens is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Villia is controlling him.
Villia advances position into side control!
The referee asks Villia politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Villia prefers to stall for the moment though.

Villia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Stevens is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Villia asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Villia is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stevens has escaped the position, nice work there.
Stevens stops Villia from passing to mount.

Stevens is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Villia is controlling him well.

Villia swings around for an armbar but Stevens sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Villia's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Stevens gets to his feet. Villia looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Villia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stevens swivels and escapes.
Stevens throws a head kick but Villia moves out of range.

Villia wants to break free but Stevens has control.
Stevens has Villia pressed against the ropes, preventing Villia from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Villia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stevens tries to avoid it but Villia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stevens to the ground. Stevens escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
