The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Velaskuez circles away quickly and effectively.
Velaskuez tries for a takedown but McGee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Velaskuez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Velaskuez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McGee sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

McGee is pushing Velaskuez's head away, looking to escape. Velaskuez manages to hold on to the position though.
