The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro closes the distance and clinches up with Mousasi, looking for a takedown. Castro pushes Mousasi against the cage but Mousasi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Castro lands a lovely overhand right.
Mousasi walks into a jab.
Castro lands with an uppercut that bounces Mousasi off the cage and back into rage.
Diego Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mousasi.
Castro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Castro manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Mousasi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Castro is just riding it out for now. Mousasi eventually gives up the hold.
Castro tries to roll over but Mousasi keeps him under control.

Mousasi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Castro is looking to control Mousasi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Castro avoid being mounted?
