Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oraine Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Manhoef.

Manhoef tries to close the distance and clinch but Shaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Manhoef swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Manhoef moves in looking to clinch but Shaw pushes him off.

Melvin Manhoef seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Manhoef fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shaw, pushing him back against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Manhoef scores with a nice short uppercut.
Shaw tries to land a knee to the head but Manhoef blocks with his arms.
Manhoef wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A right handed body shot lands from Manhoef.
Manhoef lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Shaw has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Manhoef is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Manhoef breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Manhoef throws a series of punches but Shaw moves out of range.
Manhoef shoots in for a double leg but Shaw sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Shaw darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Shaw is pressing down on Manhoef's thigh, looking to free his foot. Manhoef is holding on for now.
Shaw missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Shaw uses his free foot to push down on Manhoef's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Manhoef.
Shaw pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Shaw working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Manhoef turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Shaw off and cradles Manhoef's limp body as Shaw celebrates with his corner.
