Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Worley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cody Worley has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cody Worley seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Almeida!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Worley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Almeida wants to clinch up but Worley keeps it at a distance.
Worley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Almeida. That snapped Worley's head back.
Worley keeps the fight on the outside.
Almeida gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A frustrated look appears on Worley's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Almeida wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Worley wants to get back to striking at distance but Almeida won't allow it.
Almeida tries for a takedown but Worley manages to get underhooks.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Almeida takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Worley tries to break the clinch but Almeida is controlling the position.
Almeida wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Worley has him pressed against the cage.
Almeida breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Worley bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Almeida's head backwards.
Worley throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Almeida takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Almeida is rocked!
Carlos Almeida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Almeida.
Almeida is still on wobbly legs! Can Worley finish him?
Almeida tries to clinch but Worley moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Worley connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Almeida to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Worley!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Cody Worley!
A relieved looking Cody Worley thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
