The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chilcoat takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Owen slaps away a takedown attempt from Chilcoat, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Owen misses with a hook. Chilcoat ducked under it nicely.
Owen moves out of range of the strikes.
Owen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Owen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chilcoat was well out of range. Poor timing from Owen.
Owen looks to land a left hand but Chilcoat moved out of range nicely.

Chilcoat wants to control but Owen is keeping him busy.
Owen is pushing Chilcoat's head away, looking to escape. Chilcoat manages to hold on to the position though.

Chilcoat is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Chilcoat tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Owen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Owen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chilcoat pulls his head out easily.
Chilcoat seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Owen is pressing down on Chilcoat's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Owen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Chilcoat is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Owen.
