Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tj Desantis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Desantis with that takedown attempt.
Thompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Thompson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Desantis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thompson somewhat.
Desantis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thompson as he jumps to the side.
Thompson shoots in looking for a takedown. Desantis tries to sprawl out of it but Thompson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Desantis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tj Desantis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Thompson.
Thompson scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Desantis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Thompson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Desantis wants to control but Thompson is having none of it.

Thompson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Thompson shoots in and bounces Desantis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thompson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
